Difference Between PPC ads and CPM ads? Must Read for Bloggers

Internet has become the main place to market products and services these days. That's why thousands of advertisers choose to give their  advertisements on the Internet to boost their sales. There are many types of ads given on the Internet. However, the most important types of ads are PPC ads and CPM ads.

What are PPC ads?: PPC is the short form of Paid Per Click. The advertiser will pay some amount per every click made. Google's PPC ads are the most popular PPC ads on the web. When someone clicks a Google PPC ad, the advertiser will pay some amount to Google. The publisher or blogger will get about 60% of the money paid to Google. PPC ads are also known as CPC which is the short form of Cost Per Click.

Some other popular PPC ads: Some of the popular PPC ads other than Google are Infolinks, Media Net, Chitika and Bidvertiser. If you are a publisher having niche blogs like finance, law etc., you will be able to make more money from the PPC ads. The ads displayed on certain niche blogs are of low value. In that case you can go in for CPM ads.

What are CPM ads: CPM is the short form of Cost Per Mille. Mille means 1000 in Latin. CPM therefore means cost per thousand impressions. The advertiser will pay per every 1000 impressions made on your blog. Here the number of clicks made on the blogs are not taken into account. For some niche blogs, CPM ads will suit better than PPC ads. Do some research and choose the best type of ads that suit your blogs.

Google ad sense: Google ad sense currently has both PPC and CPM ads programs.

Bottom line: PPC ads are paid per click type of ads and CPM ads are paid per 1000 impressions type of ads. I do hope I made my points clear here, thanks for reading.
